III. Comparative Analysis with Other Materials

Disadvantages: the elastic modulus is lower than that of steel, requiring careful structural design for support when used over large spans; while the initial purchase price is often higher than that of ordinary steel, the total life-cycle cost is significantly lower.

1. Installation Requirements: Non-metallic fasteners must be used to prevent electrochemical corrosion; the bolt tightening torque is recommended to be controlled within the range of 10–15 N·m.
2. Temperature Limits: The long-term operating temperature range is -40°C to 120°C; exceeding this range may lead to resin softening (refer to the ISO 75-2 standard).
